Today, I’m going to be sharing my experience developing a science research project and participating in the Puerto Rico Metropolitan Science Fair.

Puerto Rico Metropolitan Science Fair

This past February, I presented my science fair project at the Puerto Rico Metropolitan Science Fair in the Botany category. The interview and presentation process was conducted at the 'Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico'. I attended, representing my school, and presented my project to various judges. Afterwards, the award ceremony was conducted at the theater of the 'Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras'.

The awards I received were:

• 1^st Place in High School Botany

• NASA Earth System Science Project Award

• US Air Force Award for Outstanding Science or Engineering Fair Project

Reflection

I had an amazing experience participating in the Science Fair this year. I was also able to investigate a topic I am passionate about and meet students who are also interested in science. I was given the opportunity to present my investigation to professional judges and explain my process and findings. It was a vibrant, exciting experience, and it was inspiring to see so many dedicated young scientists of all ages. The event was excellently organized and brought together many enthusiastic students and teachers. Overall, this year’s Science Fair was an incredible and unforgettable learning opportunity, during which I was able to turn my passion into a concrete investigation. I'm looking forward to continuing my research journey!
